Injury Mechanisms and Movement Dysfunction

A Principles-Based Framework

๐Ÿ“… Date: Sunday, 22 March
๐Ÿ•š Time: 11:00 AM โ€“ 1:00 PM

Do you understand how injuries actually happen?

Not when pain appears โ€” but what has been building long before it.

The location of pain is not always the source of injury.
Symptoms often emerge where tolerance is breached โ€” while the underlying driver exists elsewhere in the system.

Movement dysfunction is rarely random.
It reflects changes in control, altered load distribution, and predictable compensation patterns.

Muscles do not simply become โ€œtightโ€ or โ€œweak.โ€
They adapt to the strategy being used.

When control changes, stress changes.
When stress accumulates, tolerance is eventually exceeded.
Pain is the signal โ€” not the starting point.

Understanding biomechanics is essential.
Load has direction.
Stress has magnitude and repetition.
Tissue adapts according to the forces applied.

You will gain a clearer understanding of:

  • Why pain does not always equal damage

  • Why the site of pain may not be the site of cause

  • How compensations redistribute load across the system

  • How altered activation patterns can create predictable dysfunction

  • Why biomechanics must guide assessment and intervention

  • Why reasoning must be principle-driven rather than trend-driven

Whether you are a clinician, coach, or athlete, your consultation process should be outcome-driven โ€” not influenced by trends or semantics.

Assessment should be precise.
Intervention should be intentional.
Exercises should be mechanically justified.

The session includes:

  • 1 hour structured theory presentation

  • 1 hour open Q&A and discussion, allowing real-world scenarios to be explored through principle rather than opinion

This is not a corrective exercise seminar.
It is a framework for understanding how injury develops.
